Charlene Kaye is an up-and-coming pop/folk/alternative/indie icon. She is well-known nowadays for her duets with Glee star & Team Starkid (theater production company) Darren Criss. This amazing woman and her band have already put out an EP and an album with welcomed but little reception. They have performed many shows and countless venues to promote the artist. Now, she’s turning to her fans for support.
On Kickstarter, she’s asking her fans to pledge at least $20,000 to fund her new album titled “Animal Love.” As a new but adamant Charlene Kaye fan, I want to help her out as much as I can.

There are rewards offered for a certain amount of money you pledge and donate. I have my eye on a $600-dollar reward: a Skype session (online video chat) with Charlene Kaye herself. The other option is to sing a song on stage with Charlene at one of her upcoming concerts. I would NOT pick this option for two reasons: the first reason is that her shows are all on the West coast; I live on the East coast. The second reason will be explained at the end of this.

I am a young college woman (majoring in Information Systems & Operations Management, minoring in Psychology) in the Southeast who is ridiculously obsessed with pop culture and the entertainment business. I have been recently introduced to the entertainment & talent world. It is a fast-paced realm where you work independently to make others’ dreams come true. I think that is one of the most amazing and rewarding lines of work out there, and I see myself possibly entering into the business when I obtain my Bachelor’s degree.

Now, this is where I need your help. I have 27 or so days to reach this goal of $600. I am trying to do this as independently of my parents as I can. So I’m asking you, help two people achieve their dreams! I’d like to explain my second reason now: I’d love to video chat with Charlene because she is a hard-working musician who has truly earned the position she is in now and where she is headed. She’s learned so much of the ins-and-outs of the business I’m becoming more passionate about on a daily basis. Talking to her will offer me life direction and a feeling of satisfaction.
